First thing you need to do is install and activate the Remote Media Libraries plugin. Upon activation, you need to visit Media » Remote Libraries and click on the Add New button to add a remote media library.

On the add new remote library page, you need to simply select the remote media service from the drop down menu. Currently, you can add YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Flickr by simply entering your user ID and clicking on the validate button. The plugin will check if it can access the given ID and show a green sign. You can now click on the Publish button to make this remote service available.

To insert media from your remote media library, simply create a new post or edit an existing one and then click on the Add Media button. On the Media uploader screen, you will notice your remote library as a link in the sidebar. Clicking on the link will display files from YouTube Channel, Vimeo, or DailyMotion account into WordPress media uploader.

Select the file you want to insert by simply clicking on it. You will notice that it will automatically fetch title and description from your channel. All you need to do is click on the Insert into Post button.

In the future, the plugin author plans on adding more libraries such as Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, Amazon S3, Vimeo Pro, Photobucket, etc.
